Palatine Assisting Through Hope (PATH) officially transitioned management of the Community Closet to Partners for Our Communities (POC) on July 1, 2022. The program is now recognized as the “Clothing Closet”.

Our “Day of Giving” annual event began in 2006, providing community members with free warm clothing. Over the years, it evolved into the Community Closet at Sanborn Elementary School, operating during the school year. Today, it continues to serve the community year-round as the Clothing Closet at the Community Resource Center (CRC).

This success would not have been possible without the dedicated support of our community, volunteers, and partnering agencies.

Thanks to POC’s tireless efforts in securing grants, the Clothing Closet now has dedicated staff and is able to offer extended hours and year-round access for clients, shoppers, and volunteers.
